La Blogotheque is a Paris-based music blog that records videos of well-known bands having impromptu, completely spontaneous, concerts around Paris.
Can you imagine if you were one of those lucky people able to catch this kind of a set? I think I would pee my pants a little being only 3 feet away seeing one of my favorite bands. I think what La Blogotheque does is great! It can be tough sometimes when a band you would really like to see is so huge, they only play at arenas and music festivals. There is something so attractive to me about intimate shows like this and it actually says a lot about the band and musicians themselves too.
Here is Phoenix performing one of my favorite songs “1901” in front of the Eiffel Tower. It’s amazing.

Yang Ya-Ching is participating in an original project. One that I happen to be a little jealous of actually. She is a young girl from Taiwan who is currently studying abroad in Paris. Not only is she hitting the books, she is also kissing men. Her challenge was this: Can she kiss 100 Parisian men?
After reading that line, some may pass judgment and wonder if she is just skeezing around. I can’t read her blog because I am unable to speak French, but her pictures say so much more. She is a classy woman who is artistic and definitely has no concerns about the Swine that is upon all of us. At least the girl has standards, these men are fairly good looking…from the side.

French Vogue has taken over Champs Elysees in Paris as they have set up shop with covers spanning through the years 1920-2009. There are 70 covers featuring “…Marilyn Monroe, classic vintage fashions, plus glam photos of style icons like Twiggy, Audrey Hepburn, and Catherine Deneuve.”

This is practically museum status. The best part of this besides being able to relive these time periods in fashion is that it’s free! The presentation will be up through all of October.

Something that I find completely underrated is street art. The best part about them is that you never know when you’re going to find a piece. At least for me, I always feel like it comes out of nowhere.
Now you can go to a place where street art is collected in photographs. Unurth I hope one day I can go to one of these places and actually spot out a piece. I love that I believe that art defines a great part of my life. I think I owe my dad for that one.

Blair: Why aren’t you in Europe?
Chuck: I was in Paris only to get your favorite macaroons from Pierre Herme.
Blair: And Germany?
Chuck: To pick up your favorite fall stockings. You know how I adore them.
Blair: What are you doing here then?
Chuck: You were right. I was a coward running away again. Everywhere I went, you caught up with me. I had to come back.
Blair: I want to believe you, but I can’t. You’ve hurt me too many times.
Chuck: You can believe me this time.
Blair: Oh…that’s it?
Chuck: I love you too.
Blair: But, can you say it twice? No, I’m serious… say it twice.
Chuck: I love you, I love you, that’s three. Four. I love you.
(End Scene!)
SWOOON!!! I’m four months too late watching the previous season finale of Gossip Girl, but I made up this whole to do list on the airport today and I figured, this needed to be checked off tonight. I never really liked the idea of Blair and Chuck together, but I kid you not when he finally said I love you, I literally punched the air with my fist. [super hero style]
PS: The new season starts Monday, September 14th

“When people say Paris these days, they no longer think France. They think Paris Hilton.”
That’s a little bit ridiculous isn’t it? That line is actually used in the trailer for this new MTV documentary on Paris Hilton entitled, “Paris, Not France.” Paris Hilton talks to the cameras about how hard her life is and how it isn’t perfect and there is also a brief stint about the infamous sex tape I believe. As a way for fans to take her more seriously, the documentary is sometimes shot in black and white to portray a more serious side to Paris, maybe even artsy? She also loses that baby voice that we always hear in public. (Thank god.)

When I was six years old and putting together cottages and corporate building for my lego people, I would’ve never believed that someday I would be wearing it as either jewelry, accessories or in apparel. I wouldn’t have believed people would in general! These days, I’m seeing this trend come up a lot lately.

Fashion designer Jean Charles de Castelbajac showcased his lego inspired clothing and hats during his Paris Spring/Summer fashion week show of 08.

Now, Minifig Outfitter JCDC and french eyeware brand Lynx Optique are collaborating together to design Lego shades for the summer. These aren’t available for purchase just yet but when I find out where they are sold and if they are in other colors I will make an updated post!
